As an extra on the set of Tortoise in Love

A New Venture
Life takes many twists and turns. Who would have thunk I would have a part in a feature film? Granted it was for only two seconds.
(My feature film role came about via working with The Producers’ Forum as a facilitator for one of their events and then facilitating a strategic planning day for the Board and eventually becoming a board member.)
I’ve had a very diverse and enjoyable working life but through it there has been a thread of helping others – individuals and organisations. This lifelong experience has led me to set up the PROgress Business Clubs.
The first one will kick off in January. A small group will be meeting a half day a month, just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, to develop skills in the areas they don’t address on an MBA: influencing skills, negotiating, creative thinking, presenting, writing and marketing yourself.
Some fantastic speakers have already been lined up:
- Guy Browning - humourist, author, and former Guardian and Management Today columnist, (who also happens to have written the filmscript and directed Tortoise in Love)
- Mo Chaudry - one of Channel 4’s Secret Millionaires and owner of Waterworld in Stoke
- Natasha Carlish - BAFTA award winning producer, who is also co-producer of the currently showing Soul Boy
- Annmarie Hanlon - marketing guru and author of Quick Win Marketing (also available as an iPhone App) and Quick Win Digital Marketing.
To launch the clubs, I have written a free downloadable report on the Barriers to Success, which you can access by visiting: www.progressbusinessclubs.com
There will also be two taster sessions in Birmingham at the end of November 2010. Please do get in touch with me if you would like to learn more.
