Booming agency back on right track

A model and promotions agency in Coventry is looking ahead to years of success, thanks to help from business advisors.

Spon End-based Aesthetics, which provides models and hosts for major events, has witnessed extraordinary growth since being set up by former logistics manager Lee Thomas just four years ago.

But the company, which currently turns over more than £750,000 a year, began to run into trouble because of its success.

With 800 promotional staff on its books, Lee decided it was time to move from her home to new offices. She said: "We'd taken on more staff and moved in to new offices in Percy Street but we had virtually no systems in place and were rapidly losing direction."

Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce's Business Link provided her with an information technology expert, a business and financial plan and a web site design service.
